Chance Ringette began as a simple hobby back in the early 2000s, when my daughter Rachel laced up for the Whitby Wild. As I sat in the stands watching her play, I quickly became fascinated by the sport. Though I grew up playing hockey, I realized ringette had something different—it was wide open, fast, creative, and built on a unique set of rules that truly set it apart.
My involvement grew from cheering in the stands to coaching, joining the Executive, and, alongside my wife, organizing countless “Come Try Ringette” events. The more I learned, the deeper my passion grew.
In 2008, that passion turned into something more—Chance Ringette. I started designing and building a ringette stick that was Made in Canada, giving players a fresh, high-quality option that stood out from the rest. Over time, I developed a patented reversing rib tip, and even patented the process of wrapping a ringette stick—adding a unique touch that allows players to get creative and personalize their gear.
For the past 17 years, every single stick has been individually wrapped by me. I am the quality control—nothing leaves without passing through my hands.
We’ve created:
Custom player sticks
Team-designed sticks
Association sticks
Promotional and gift sticks
Award and retail sticks
So far, we’ve proudly built sticks for over 100 different associations across Canada.
Though my daughter has since moved on from the sport, I remain dedicated to the ringette community—still wrapping sticks and connecting with the many players, coaches, retailers, and associations who’ve supported Chance Ringette over the years.
Ringette is a beautiful game. I’m proud to be part of it.
